About Google Ads

Google Ads is an advertising service by Google for businesses wanting to display ads on Google and throughout its advertising network.


Google Ads metrics

  • Impressions. An Impression is counted each time your Ad is served on Google’s Ad Networks, such as on Google.com or other Publisher Websites and Apps during the specified Date Range.
  • Cost. Sum of your Cost-per-click (CPC) Spend and Cost-per-thousand Impressions (CPM) Spend during the specified Date Range.
  • Clicks. Number of Clicks on your Ads during the specified Date Range.
  • Avg. CPC. Average amount of Cost-per-click (CPC) paid for your Ads divided by your total Clicks during the specified Date Range.
  • Account Overview. This is a multi-metric Datablock with the following metrics: Avg. CPC, Clicks, Conversions, Cost, Cost / Conversion, CTR, Impressions, Conversion Value.
  • Conversions. Number of times your Ads led Customers to an Action you’ve defined as valuable, such as Sales or Leads during the specified Date Range.
  • Impressions by Campaign. An Impression is counted each time your Ad is served on Google’s Ad Networks during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • CTR by Campaign. Number of Clicks your Ad receives divided by the number of times your Ad is shown during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • CTR by Ad Group. Number of Clicks your Ad receives divided by the number of times your Ad is shown during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Cost / Conversion. Cost divided by your Conversions during the specified Date Range. Cost includes cost for Interactions that can lead to a Conversion, and Conversions includes only those Conversion Actions that you’ve chosen to include.
  • CTR. Number of Clicks your Ad receives divided by the number of times your Ad is shown during the specified Date Range. It’s often used to help determine the effectiveness of an Ad.
  • CTR by Keyword. Number of Clicks your Ad receives divided by the number of times your Ad is shown during the specified Date Range split up by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keywords.
  • Impressions by Keyword. An Impression is counted each time your Ad is served on Google’s Ad Networks during the specified Date Range split up by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keywords.
  • Impressions by Ad Group. An Impression is counted each time your Ad is served on Google’s Ad Networks during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Clicks by Campaign. Number of Clicks on your Ads during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • All Conversions. Number of Conversions measured across all Conversion Actions during the specified Date Range.
  • Clicks by Keyword. Number of Clicks on your Ads during the specified Date Range split up by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keywords.
  • Cost by Campaign. Sum of your Cost-per-click (CPC) Spend and Cost-per-thousand Impressions (CPM) Spend during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Conversions by Campaign. Number of times your Ads led Customers to an Action you’ve defined as valuable during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Avg. CPC by Campaign. Average amount of Cost-per-click (CPC) paid for your Ads divided by your total Clicks during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Cost / Conversion by Campaign. Cost divided by your Conversions during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Conversions / Conversion Rate. This is a multi-metric Datablock with the following metrics: Conversion Rate, Conversions.
  • All Conversions by Campaign. Number of Conversions measured across all Conversion Actions during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Conversion Rate by Campaign. Number of Conversions divided by total Interactions that can lead to Conversions during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Conversions by Keyword. Number of times your Ads led Customers to an Action you’ve defined as valuable during the specified Date Range split up by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keywords.
  • Cost by Keyword. Sum of your Cost-per-click (CPC) Spend and Cost-per-thousand Impressions (CPM) Spend during the specified Date Range split up by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keywords.
  • Campaigns Overview. This is a multi-metric Datablock with the following metrics: CTR by Campaign, Impressions by Campaign.
  • Clicks by Ad Group. Number of Clicks on your Ads during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Ad Group Overview. This is a multi-metric Datablock with the following metrics: CTR by Campaign by Ad Group, Impressions by Campaign by Ad Group.
  • Keyword Overview. This is a multi-metric Datablock with the following metrics: CTR by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keyword, Impressions by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keyword.
  • View-through Conversion by Ad Group. Number of Conversions when someone Sees your Ad, doesn’t Interact with it and then later performs a Conversion action during the specified Date Rangee split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Cost by Ad Group. Sum of your Cost-per-click (CPC) Spend and Cost-per-thousand Impressions (CPM) Spend during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Avg. CPC by Ad Group. Average amount of Cost-per-click (CPC) paid for your Ads divided by your total Clicks during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Conversions by Ad Group. Number of times your Ads led Customers to an Action you’ve defined as valuable during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • All conversions by Ad Group. Number of Conversions measured across all Conversion Actions during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.

  • Conversion Rate by Ad Group. Number of Conversions divided by total Interactions that can lead to Conversions during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Conversions by Campaign by Conversion Action. Number of times your Ads led Customers to an Action you’ve defined as valuable during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns Conversion.
  • Conversion Rate. Number of Conversions divided by total Interactions (such as Clicks for Text Ads or Views for Video Ads) that can lead to Conversions during the specified Date Range. This only includes conversion actions that you’ve chosen to include in ‘Conversions.’
  • Conversions by Conversion Action. Number of times your Ads led Customers to an Action you’ve defined as valuable during the specified Date Range split up by Conversion Action.
  • View-through Conversions. Number of Conversions when someone Sees your Ad, doesn’t Interact with it and then later performs a Conversion action during the specified Date Range.
  • Conversion Value. Sum of Conversion Values for your Conversions during the specified Date Range.
  • Impressions (Top %) by Campaign. Percentage of your Ad Impressions that are shown anywhere above the Organic Search results during specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Impressions (Top %) by Ad Group. Percentage of your Ad Impressions that are shown anywhere above the Organic Search results during specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
  • Impressions (Top %) by Keyword. Percentage of your Ad Impressions that are shown anywhere above the Organic Search results during specified Date Range split up by Keyword Id by Campaign by Keywords.
  • Impressions (Absolute Top %) by Campaign. Percentage of your Ad Impressions that are shown as the very first Ad above the Organic Search results during the specified Date Range split up by Campaigns.
  • Impressions (Absolute Top %) by Ad Group. Percentage of your Ad Impressions that are shown as the very first Ad above the Organic Search results during the specified Date Range split up by Campaign by Ad Groups.
