About Ahrefs

Ahrefs is an SEO software tool that many digital marketing analysts rely on to improve content quality. Whether it’s using it for link building, keyword research, competitor analysis, or URL rankings, Ahrefs helps create a perfect content strategy.


Ahrefs metrics

  • Backlinks. Total number of backlinks pointing to a target website or URL. Not to be confused with number of linking pages, as one page can contain multiple backlinks. No historical data is available from before the initial connection.
  • Referring Domains. Shows the total number of unique referring domains pointing to a target website or URL. No historical data is available from before the initial connection.
  • Domain Rating. Domain Rating shows how strong a backlink profile of a target website is on a scale from 0 to 100 (with the latter being the strongest). Backlinks from sites with higher DR carry more “weight”. No historical data is available from before the initial connection.
  • Website Audit Overview. This is a multi-metric Datablock with the following metrics: URL rating, Ahrefs rank, Backlinks, Domain rating, Referring domains.
  • DoFollow. Number of DoFollow backlinks that link to the target website. No historical data is available from before the initial connection.
  • NoFollow. Number of NoFollow backlinks that link to the target website. No historical data is available from before the initial connection.
  • DM by Backlink Referring Page. Domain Rating split up by Backlink referring page. Domain Rating shows how strong a backlink profile of a target website is on a scale from 0 to 100 (with the latter being the strongest). Backlinks from sites with higher DR carry more “weight”.   • Ahrefs Rank by Page URL. Ahrefs rank split up by Page URL. Ahrefs rank websites based on the size and quality of their backlink profile.
